Homemade Raw Fruity Nut Ball

Homemade Raw Fruity Nut Ball

Today we decided to 'cook' raw. Having an extremely sweet-tooth I am always looking for something to satisfy my cravings and these tasty treats made from dried fruits, nuts and honey are the perfect solution for us.Raw Nut Fruit Balls

We used a basic recipe, and added in variations of our own to create even more-ish flavours!

We substituted the sunflower seeds with mixed nuts, rolled ours in chopped coconut and cocoa powder, as well as adding in dried cranberries and cinnamon.

This is a great recipe for exploring new flavours and, best of all, there is no cooking time.

Makes approximately 10 ball bites.

Ingredients

  • 1 cup raw sunflower seeds
  • 1/2 cup raisins/sultanas
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened shredded coconut
  • 2 tsp. raw honey or raw agave nectar
  • 2 Tbsp. cacao powder
  • 1/4 tsp. salt

Method

  • Using a food processor (we used the Nutribullet for ours) - pulse sunflower seeds and raisins until coarsely ground.
  • Add in any remaining ingredients and pulse until mixture begins to stick together.
  • Form the mixture into small balls about the size of a small golf ball.
  • Roll each ball in your chosen coating and pop in the fridge for an hour to chill.
