Gluten Free Stuffing

If you miss out on your stuffing due to a gluten intolerance then this recipe could be the perfect solution.

Now you can enjoy the turkey with all the trimmings this Christmas - and all year round.

Gluten-free, with all the taste - suitable for all the family.

Serves 6

Ingredients

  • 1 loaf (400g) gluten-free bread* (made into fine breadcrumbs)
  • 1 bunch chopped parsley
  • 50g (2oz) margarine
  • 2 onions, chopped finely
  • 200g (8oz) mushrooms, chopped
  • Salt and pepper
  • 1 egg, beaten

Procedure

  • Melt margarine in a saucepan and soften onions over a low heat.
  • Add mushrooms and/or bacon and cook for a further 4-5 minutes.
  • Allow to cool.
  • Add parsley and breadcrumbs and season to taste.
  • Bind with as much beaten egg as necessary.
  • Use to stuff your turkey or roll into balls about 4cm in diameter.
  • Roast the stuffing balls in hot fat for about 30 minutes at 190oC, 375oF, Gas mark 5 until golden brown.
