The Cidre Bouche Winter Warmer 2015

The Cidre Bouché Winter Warmer, ideal for those cold festive evenings, has been carefully developed to enhance all the depth and yumminess of Cidre Bouche. As you pour the cider into the pan the fizz is released is an frenzy of activity, the ginger adds fire, the nutmeg a hint of pepper and calvados the final little kick!

Ingredients

  • 1 Bottle Cidre Bouché
  • 300ml apple juice
  • 2 desert spoons brown sugar
  • 2 shots Calvados
  • 1 sliced apple
  • 8 grates of nutmeg
  • 2 inches Ginger
  • 2 cinnamon sticks
  • 2 half oranges
  • 10 cloves (5 inserted into each half orange)

Method

  1. Carefully pour the cider into a saucepan - add the apple juice and brown sugar and slowly warm for 2-3
    minutes until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  2. Add the apple, ginger, cinnamon and cloved orange and let the mix very gently simmer for 5-8 minutes.
  3. Now add the calvados stirring gently and leave for 1-2 min before serving.
