'Trott' on down to Ripley's Believe It Or Not! London

To celebrate the arrival of the 2012 Olympic torch signed by Team GB cycling champion, Laura Trott into the Ripley's 'Legends Gallery', the central London attraction is encouraging visitors to test their stamina and see if they can come close to Laura's impressive 500 metre ladies time trial record of 35.110 seconds via a static bike.

Those who aren't quite up to Laura's 'Olympic standards' can still 'spin themselves' to free entry.

Anyone who completes the challenge in 80 seconds or less will gain free entry and those who finish at 120 seconds or less will get a 50% discount on entry to the attraction.

The event takes place on 12th October between 12 and 2pm and 12% of profits from the day will also be donated to a youth sports charity. Spectators are encouraged to cheer on the competitors throughout the event and enjoy performances from Olympic Ring jugglers.

All young Games Makers, Olympic medallists and anyone named 'Laura Trott' will also gain free entry to the attraction on the day of the event.

The new Olympic torch will join 31 other torches from across the world in the Ripley’s Legends Gallery. The torches have all had starring roles in the world's biggest sporting events including the 2004 Olympic Games in Athens and the 2008 Beijing Olympics, and boasts one of only ten known Mohammad Ali autographed torches.
