Spend Some Quality Time Together For Parents' Week 2012
Children love it when their parents spend time with them, so the Family and Parenting Institute is encouraging as many organisations as possible to host events as part of our 12th annual Parents' Week which runs from the 22nd - 28th October 2012
Sometimes it can be difficult to give children undivided attention and just have some fun, so this year the week is emphasising the importance of parents spending quality one-on-one time with their children by inviting children's centres, nurseries, libraries, charities, businesses and other organisations to host a 'Make a Moment' event.
These might tie in with current events already being held on a more regular basis, such as story time, music classes or messy play, or may involve organising a special event such as a family BBQ.
Any organisation interested in hosting such an event for their community can register to receive an activity pack with further suggestions and promotional materials such as posters, bunting and leaflets.
Furthermore, Parents' Week are offering parents who attend these events the opportunity to win a fabulous family photo shoot simply by sharing their favourite moment, as well as chocolates to thank the staff organising the event.
Registration for further information is now open via www.parentsweek.org and activity packs will be available in mid-September.
