Simon Rimmer Backs New Food Show at ACC Liverpool
TV chef, Simon Rimmer, has been named as an ambassador for a new food, drink and lifestyle show, which is being organised by SK Events, the team behind the annual Liverpool Food & Drink Festival.
The new Livfooddrink Show is set to take place at the Liverpool Echo Arena and Conference Centre on 5th and 6th May 2013.
The Livfooddrink Show will bring together some of the finest regional food and drink producers, chefs and experts under one roof.
The indoor event will also feature a hand-picked collection of designers and brands, specialising in stylish living.
In addition, the event will feature a dedicated "wine zone", where visitors will have the chance to enjoy a glass of wine, learn about grape origins and pick up tips on how to select the right wines.
There will also be an opportunity for visitors to discover more about other drinks, such as real ales, beers, ciders, liqueurs and spirits, as they meet the experts behind each tipple.
Simon Rimmer, resident chef on Channel 4's Sunday Brunch, will lead a programme of live high profile chef demonstrations in the Livfooddrink Show "super theatre".
If the Liverpool Food and Drink Festival is anything to go by, the Livfooddrink Show is set to be a fantastic event and I am delighted to be a part of it. I'm looking forward to coming home to demo to food fans in the city. There is a huge appetite for this kind of event in the north west and I think it will be a great show for those who have a real passion for good food.
Coffee lovers can sample the delights of coffee whilst finding out about the origins of different coffee beans and how to brew coffee like a professional barista, while tea devotees can learn about different blends and speciality teas.
Another feature of the event will be the "producers' village", which will showcase deli produce, speciality meats, seafood, locally grown fruit and vegetables, as well as jams, chutneys, breads, pastries, chocolate and confectionary.
Visitors will also be able to pick up kitchen equipment, such as knives, pans, crockery and cutlery, as well as flowers, plants, garden furniture, barbeques and tools.
Having organised the Liverpool Food and Drink Festival for the last six years, we know that there is a strong audience of food lovers in the region, who would be interested in this type of food, drink and lifestyle show. At the moment, people living in the north west would need to travel to Birmingham or London to experience an indoor food drink and lifestyle show of this standard.
The Livfooddrink Show is designed to complement the annual Liverpool Food and Drink Festival, which takes place in September. In comparison, the Livfooddrink Show will be much more focused on home cooking, stylish living and entertaining, as well as expertise and know-how.
