2014 is set to be an exciting year for the world of natural wine, with the next London RAW taking place on 18th - 19th May 2014 and the launch of RAW Vienna later in the summer.
This year also sees the publication of RAW founder, Isabelle Legeron MW's much-anticipated first book - Natural Wine:
An introduction to organic and biodynamic wines made naturally launches on 10th April, published by CICO Books. It is the first book by Isabelle Legeron, one of the UK's leading experts on the subject of natural wine. Isabelle is the only French woman ever to have become a Master of Wine, she received both the Villa Maria Award for Viticulture and the Madame Bollinger Award for Excellence in Tasting. She was named Wine Woman of the Year in Paris in 2009. Isabelle now lives in London and has dedicated her career to promoting transparency in the wine world, amongst her many achievements she has presented television programmes on the subject and launched RAW the artisan wine Fair.
RAW returns to London's Old Truman Brewery on 18th - 19th May. Around 170 growers are expected at the fair, which last year attracted 2000 trade visitors and 1000 members of the public. The show is the UK’s largest collection of fine, natural, organic and biodynamic wine artisans. Visitors included sommeliers, chefs and managers from some of London’s top restaurants, plus wine merchants and buyers from around the world.
RAW Austria will take place in Vienna on 15th June, showcasing the work of around 50 growers. RAW Vienna will coincide with VieVinum, Austria's bi-annual wine trade event, enabling international trade travelling to the city for the show to explore natural wine as well.
