La Cave à Fromage and Premier Cheese launch a Cheesemakers' Christmas Market

Following on from the success of their Spring Cheesemakers' Market, La Cave à Fromage and Premier Cheese will be holding a new Christmas market on Sunday 15th December 2013.

Unlike the Spring version, which featured a mix of Continental and British cheesemakers, the Christmas market will focus primarily on British producers who will be perfect for the festive cheese board.

Over 25 different producers will be assembled under one roof, including Montgomery Cheddar, Cropwell Bishop Stilton and Lincolnshire Poacher. Customers will be able to try before they buy, and a host of experts will be on hand to help put together the perfect selection to suit.

A cheese bistro will offer toasted cheese sandwiches, platters of cheeses, and wine by the glass or bottle, while bread, charcuterie and wood board stalls will finish off the offering.

Launching at the Cheesemaker's Christmas Market, will be two new cheeses specially created by La Cave à Fromage: Windsor blue - a barrel aged blue cheese matured in Whisky and Barrel aged Port Stilton - made by dropping whole baby Stiltons into barrels of Port and leaving them to soak.

The Cheesemakers' Christmas market will operate from 9:00am to 18:00pm, and will be located in the market place, Old Beaconsfield.
