June's Flavour of the Month at Ashdown Park Hotel

Luxury Sussex retreat Ashdown Park Hotel & Country Club is home to one of the most celebrated restaurants in East Sussex, the Anderida Restaurant.

The restaurant's luxuriously heavy drapes that frame the high windows overlooking Ashdown Park's magnificent gardens creates an extremely indulgent ambience. Head Chef, Andrew Wilson, is celebrated in the county for creating menus that focus on local produce, seasonal flavours and creative twists on classic dishes.

Enjoy monthly 'flavours' created by Andrew, in the classic setting of the 2 AA Rosette Anderida Restaurant, where he is using the freshest and most abundant produce relevant to a particular month and turning it into a mouth-watering three course lunch or dinner, to be offered alongside the daily Table d’hôte menu from Monday to Friday.

This month (April) there is still time to explore the Wood Pigeons and Morels menu, available until the 30th. Throughout May the focus is on Asparagus, with all three courses focused on this wonderful stem.

And throughout June Ashdown Park Hotel & Country Club will be continuing their series of special luncheons that focus on seasonal flavours with a delicious New Season Lamb menu.

The sumptuous June menu includes hay smoked and confit lamb salad with pickled shallots, radish, broad bean and lambs lettuce, a tender roasted lamb saddle accompanied by sweetbreads, spring onion salsa and new potatoes and, for dessert, a truly tempting chocolate and orange dome with smooth caraway ice cream.
