Grab a Great Cuppa at the Small Batch Coffee Company
Being coffee lovers and going caffeine-free, along with having to ditch the dairy and gluten, can be a real bind when it comes to finding a great cuppa.
But this weekend we went out and about in Brighton and took in the delights of the Brighton and Hove Food Festival on Jubilee Street - and discovered the Small Batch Coffee Company - and possibly the world's best decaf soya latte!
Nestled down in The Lanes away from the busy Churchill Shopping Centre there lies a whole new world of shops and shopping.
If you have not yet strayed from the mainstream path and taken a wander around the smaller shopping establishments that Brighton has to offer, then you may well be missing out on some of the best in buying that this part of the world has to offer.
It may get crowded but it is well worth the hustle and bustle to discover some great one-off shops and pop in for a well earned coffee and rest at the Small Batch Coffee Company.
Set in the ground floor of Myhotel, the Jubilee Street store is the companies flagship shop and boasts more space and seating than any of their other outlets.
Alongside the usual Small Batch espresso menu they offer brewed coffee at the syphon bar, a must for any filter coffee lovers.
On our visit they had a stall outside and were giving samples of their syphoned coffee to eager passers-by.
Our party all ordered their coffee of choice, which included the usual decaf soya for those who are on a free-from diet.
What we didn't order or expect in this age of fast food and quick turnover was the exceptional passion that went with the production of our drinks and the attention to detail and full on taste that was served up with incomparable presentation.
Still with us?
Well in short, we experienced perfectly presented coffee and discovered the most amazing decaf soya latte that was not just a substitute to placate those who couldn't tolerate certain ingredients but a creamy, frothy topped cup of real coffee.
They may have taken out the caffeine and dairy but at the Small Batch Coffee Company they certainly put in the quality - to all of their drinks.
