Foodies Festival announces New Festivals for 2015 to Celebrate 10th Anniversary
Foodies Festival have announced their 2015 line-up of festivals across the UK with the addition of six new locations - including Birmingham Cannon Hill Park; Harrogate Valley Gardens; Syon Park in Richmond, London; Alexandra Palace and two new Christmas festivals at Manchester Central and Edinburgh.
From what started as a small food and drink event in an Edinburgh hotel 10 years ago, Foodies Festival has now grown into the UK's biggest food and drink festival welcoming 2 million food lovers over the last decade.
"Edinburgh is known internationally for its diverse range of festivals and the time was right in 2005 to launch a food festival celebrating great chefs, top quality food, and inviting families to enjoy a fun day out. I am delighted to be celebrating our tenth year by bringing the event to new locations, and introducing brand new features for visitors to enjoy."
Sue Hitchen, Founder of 'Foodies'
Organisers are promising a day of 'food, fun and friends' for visitors of all culinary levels and lifestyles including vegetarians, vegans and gluten free.
New features in 2015 include a Wine and Champagne Theatre with Charles Metcalfe and Neil Philips and a Craft Beer, Cider and Spirits Theatre hosted by expert Melissa Cole. These new features complement the Chefs Theatre; Cake & Bake Theatre; a Producers Market with local artisan producers; the Street Food Avenue and Children's Cookery School.
