British Food Fortnight at The Gallivant
To celebrate British Food Fortnight, The Gallivant is delighted to introduce their British Food Fortnight Gourmet Getaway.
British Food Fortnight is the biggest annual, national celebration of British food and drink - promoting the benefits of buying, eating and enjoying produce from the veritable larder of Great Britain.
The Gallivant believes strongly in making the most of the wonderful artisan producers, farmers and fishermen on their doorstep and 95-100% of their fresh ingredients are sourced from a tiny 10 mile radius to their kitchen.
This wonderful initiative saw them awarded with the highest possible rating from the Sustainable Restaurant Association (SRA) earlier this year.
The Gourmet Getaway runs from 18th September until 4th October and includes: -
- An overnight stay in a double room at The Gallivant
- Afternoon tea and cakes on arrival
- Dinner from a 5 course tasting menu
- A Gallivant breakfast the next morning
Price from £190 Monday -Thursday based on two sharing (£230 on Friday/Saturday)
The Gallivant is a coastal restaurant with rooms opposite Camber Sands, looking onto the dunes and sea grass. Nearby day trips include the Romney salt marshes, Dungeness and the Kentish Weald villages.
The Gallivant is just over an hour from Central London and a five minutes drive from the quintessentially English town of Rye, with its cobbled streets, chic boutiques and renowned antiques shops.
