Brighton and Hove Food and Drink Festival 'Autumn Harvest' September 2013

Now in its 12th year, the Brighton & Hove Food and Drink Festival is a twice yearly celebration of great local produce.

Running citywide from the 5th - 15th September 2013 the 'Autumn Harvest' incorporates the return of the Big Sussex Market (7th - 8th) and the huge Sussex & The World Market, Live Food Show and Children's Food Festival (14th - 15th).

Highlights of the festival include: -

  • An interactive historical food tour in The Regency Town House in Brunswick Square
  • Restaurant Week with 24 local restaurants and cafés offering special deals and Sussex produce led menus
  • The finals of the Brighton & Hove Curry Chef of the Year awards on the Live Food Show stage
  • The Brighton Mix Off cocktail competition finals at SEA LIFE Brighton
  • The launch of this year’s City Reads with a performance of Terry Pratchett's Guards! Guards! and Discworld inspired menu on Hove Lawns
  • Sussex Wine Bus Tour featuring Wiston, Ridgeview and the Bar at Drakes
  • International Chef Exchange with Pepijn Schmeink from Restaurant Eendracht in Rotterdam taking over the kitchen’s of Hotel du Vin for one night only
  • The biggest ever free Children's Food Festival including your chance to screen print your own limited-edition Brighton food posters designed by local artists
  • The return of Champagne & Wine Festival at Hotel du Vin, including a showcase of Sussex sparkling wines
  • Brighton Beer & Cider Festival on Hove Lawns
  • The finals of the Brighton & Hove Food and Drink Festival Awards 2013 - the awards for the hospitality industry in the city with tickets available to the public for the very first time

The festival team have been working hard for months on this amazing event line-up. I'm really excited about the innovative events we're running in conjunction with The Regency Town House, Brighton Early Music Festival and City Reads, and the Children’s Food Festival art poster screen printing is going to be super fun.
