Big Allotment Challenge Judge Joins Growing Show Line-Up
The BBC's Big Allotment Challenge floral expert Jonathan Moseley will be thrilling visitors with his own amazing displays at The Edible Garden Show - the UK's only national event dedicated to grow your own.
The leading floral designer and internationally-renowned demonstrator who has been inspiring and entertaining audiences for over 20 years with his humorous and friendly approach, will be appearing in the Experts Theatre on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd March. During his sessions Jonathan will be demonstrating how spectacular edible floral masterpieces can be made with great speed and efficiency.
With materials sourced from his own fabulous gardens, he will share his love and knowledge of his edible plant materials and explain in detail how his show-stopping and large-scale designs are created and empower visitors to start designing their own traditional and contemporary arrangements at home.
"I'm delighted to have been asked to present at this year's Edible Garden Show. It'll be a real treat to whet people's appetites with a range of stunning floral arrangements that really are good enough to eat!"
Jonathan's appearance is just one of a number of new features to go live when The Edible Garden Show returns to Alexandra Palace from 20th - 22nd March 2015.
The show, which boasts a brand new sister event, Good Life Live, has something for all the family and is packed with not-to-be-missed exhibits featuring a broad range of grow your own products as well as outdoor living activities and experiences.
Organisers have hugely increased the interactivity of this year's show so visitors can enjoy over eleven attraction areas compared to three in 2014. Children will be able to get their hands dirty in the Potting Shed, learn how to create wooden badges, bake bread and make their own butter in the Make it! area. They can even hold baby chicks in the Chicken Coop, have a field day on the Village Green, meet the animals in the pop up City Farm or get creative in the Family Zone.
Other experts joining Jonathan at the show include award-winning TV botanist James Wong; author, TV and radio presenter Pippa Greenwood; chef, forager and wild food expert Mark Lloyd; admired gardening expert Paul Peacock and flamboyant popular chef Rachel Green.
On Saturday 21st March CBeebies' Mr Bloom will be popping along to say 'Ello Tiddlers' with a bundle of veggie stories, gardening games and catchy songs in a high-energy show.
Show Director Geraldine Reeve is delighted that Jonathan is joining the show's growing pot of renowned experts.
"With his highly-enviable skill and talent, Jonathan will bring floral theatre to a whole new level. I'm sure our visitors will be enthralled as they watch his edible floral masterpieces being created before their eyes with such speed and ease."
