Become a Part of the Journey at Las Iguanas Clifton

Back to where the story began and with a fresh new look, Las Iguanas Clifton officially re-opened on 8th October 2012, offering guests a unique chance to become a part of the journey.

Following a refurbishment, the Las Iguanas team want to let Bristol know that this is where the culinary magic happens, and guests in Clifton will now have an exclusive opportunity to have their say with the new 'development dish' scheme.

Dubbed Clifton Cocina, the restaurant has long been the development kitchen for the delicious South American dishes gracing branches across the country.Las Iguanas A

Alongside a menu of Las Iguanas classics and favourites which will change on a regular basis, new dishes in contention for the upcoming season will be available on a special chef's menu for guests to try.

Feedback will help to determine what makes it on to the menu across the nation. The development dish scheme offers guests the chance to get involved, have their say and also discover a host of new Latin flavours before they are available to the world at large.

Exotic cocktails and coolers complete the celebration of Latin flavours and these won’t miss out on the development treatment with special concoctions being available in the bar.

Our foodie roots are well established as we've worked hard over the past 21 years to keep sourcing the freshest ingredients from the best suppliers and run our growing company with the same ethos we had back when we opened our first restaurants in Bristol. We want to say thank you to our local community who have supported us for so long, by letting them help us to shape the flavours of Las Iguanas for the next 21 years.

Restaurant manager Jimmy Sanchez Prado

Las Iguanas was established in 1991, the Clifton site being one of the original restaurants, making this a particularly exciting refurbishment.

Designed by Neil Masters of Cantormasters (formally of MBDS where he created interiors for Hix Soho and Casa Brindisa) the restaurant has a fresh and light feel, showcasing beautiful tiling, exposed brickwork and stunning light features.

Las Iguanas is about adventure, discovering new tastes, enjoying Latin rhythms and feeling the warmth and welcome of South America. Clifton's fresh new look, coupled with the opportunity to become 'part of the journey', promises to be an exciting addition to a rejuvenated Whiteladies Road social scene.

Katie Chatterton, Las Iguanas' food development queen bee added:

When we are finalising our seasonal menus, our fortnightly Clifton cook offs are legendary within the Las Iguanas team. We want to share some of that fun with our guests. In the future we're hoping to invite guests to join us in the restaurant for some of our cook off sessions, so watch this space.
