Introducing Happy Hounds Dog Biscuit Bakery
As ever we are always on the look out for new food ideas, especially free-from bakery products.
And we try to include everyone's needs in our search... including our pets.
At a recent RSPCA event we discovered The Happy Hounds Bakery, which first opened its doors at the beginning of 2011.
The Happy Hounds Bakery
The idea of a 'doggie bakery' began after baking biscuits and treats at home for our own rescued greyhounds.
Although there are many good quality dog food products and treats on the market, many also contain low grade ingredients, artificial additives, preservatives and fillers.
We believed our dogs deserved better and so by making our own biscuits we knew exactly what our dogs were eating and could provide a healthy and tasty alternative for them.
Our dogs have now been promoted to our board of canine taste testers, which also includes a very enthusiastic Doberman, Jack Russell and Staffordshire Bull Terrier.
All our products are approved by our board before becoming part of our official product line.
We attend numerous shows and fairs throughout the South East during the summer season and always get a great response to our products.
At the Happy Hounds Bakery we make healthy and fun biscuits, training treats, meatloaves, fishloaves, muffins and celebration cakes for dogs.
We offer quality products at an affordable price.
Our products are a 'complementary' pet food so can be given as part of a healthy, balanced diet or as 'treats'.
Our products are all made by hand and freshly baked to order, using the best quality, human grade ingredients available, many of which are free range and organic.
The majority of our products are naturally low in fat, and have nutritional benefits for your hound.
Our range includes products which are suitable for puppies through to senior dogs, in a variety of flavours, sizes and textures.
We also bake gluten free and wheat free biscuits for dogs with wheat allergies or intolerance to gluten.
We are constantly creating new product lines and also offer a 'bespoke service' so if your hound has special dietary needs we are more than happy to develop something specifically to suit.
We do not add any artificial additives, fillers, colours or preservatives to our products; in fact we only use ingredients in our products that we would be happy to eat ourselves!
We find many of our customers say their dogs are 'fussy eaters' and yet are amazed to find their dog happily wolfing down our biscuits.
