EKO Earth Kind Originals
Earth Kind Originals (EKO) was founded by fashion designer, Helen, who followed her dream to create her own label which reflects her love of Cornwall, sculptural design and the natural environment.
The result are beautifully designed and made, yet comfortable and affordable clothes for women.
Cornwall is the true inspiration behind EKO: the natural landscape, outdoor lifestyle and creative people who make up this area keep the EKO minds active and full of new ideas.
EKO was started in 2009 by Helen Davies. Helen studied fashion design at Surrey Institute of Art and Design.
Having worked in the fashion industry in London for several years, Helen decided to branch out on her own and moved back home to Cornwall.
Here, she set up EKO from her artist grandmother's studio come country cottage, taking inspiration from the rugged Cornish landscape and visits to the Tate Modern St. Ives, where she was introduced to the work of sculptor Barbara Hepworth.
EKO clothes are about comfort and relaxation, yet also about remaining active and connected to the natural world.
EKO designs are about living real life; whether that's attending a yoga class, going to work, walking the dog, hanging out with friends or relaxing by the fire.
EKO combine their love of the great outdoors, environment and design to create a truly unique brand which values both planet and people.
EKO clothes are all designed in Cornwall and all certified organic, being made from organic cotton and bamboo.
EKO clothes are made by adults who are paid a fair wage and who work in certified factories.
What EKO stand for…
- E is for EARTH - it's where the journey starts and what EKO want to preserve
- K is for KIND - to planet and people
- O is for ORIGINAL - in design
