Battersea Celebrates the Royal Baby Boom with its Own New Arrivals
Feline-loving families wanting to give a royal welcome to the world-renowned animal charity's cutest new arrivals are invited to the free baby-themed event on
There will be a chance to meet the rescue's tiny tots in a kitten crèche, take part in craft and quiz activities, and even name the Home's new arrivals.
Battersea will also mark the birth of Wills and Kate's new bundle of joy by introducing 15 kittens with names in the running for the future heir or heiress to the throne.
There will be something for everyone at Battersea's Kitten Shower which will embrace the royal baby boom and give our own new arrivals a welcome they'll never forget. We have hundreds of mums and kittens coming through our doors during the summer months and we hope this event will encourage people to rehome a cat from Battersea and create a junior league of firm feline fans.
Every kitten and mum we care for deserves the love, security and attention of a family, and our Kitten Shower will give children a wonderful opportunity to meet our kittens and learn about what it takes to look after a pet.
Lindsey Quinlan, Battersea, Head of Cattery
Cat-loving kids will be able to make toys for kittens and cat masks at special arts and crafts tables.
Battersea is also appealing to supporters to buy a kitten sleeper pad or toy mouse from the Home's special baby range at www.battersea.org.uk
