Honeybuns - Gorgeous Cakes from Dorset

Honeybuns - Gorgeous Cakes from Dorset

Started in Oxford in 1998 when she was a student, Emma Goss-Custard noticed there was a distinct lack in the market for uncomplicated, all natural cakes on the market.

Using recipes handed down from her grandmother, she started making cakes that she would deliver to local delis and cafes on her old post office bicycle.

Relocating to Naish Farm in Dorset in 2001, sympathetically adapting the outbuildings to house the bakery, the company has since grown organically and sustainably to fit it's surroundings.Beeshack

All the products are still made by hand by the small, highly trained team and slow baked in their vintage oven.

Their recipes are heavily influenced by the baking traditions of Northern Italy by using alternatives to flour such as polenta and ground nuts, making them suitable across a range of dietary needs (all but two of the range is gluten free and four of the range is also dairy free).

The company has won major national food awards, and food critics and customers alike identified with Honeybuns' passion for flavour, texture, and impeccably sourced (locally wherever possible) ingredients, without the use of preservatives and flavourings.

Honeybuns are also known for their passion for nature and sustainability.

The five acres surrounding the bakery is now managed as a nature reserve, and there is a rustic community café 'The Bee Shack' at the farm open on the first Saturday of the month.

Their busy online shop delivers Honeybuns treats nationwide and their first 'Honeybuns Gluten-free Baking' recipe book has recently been published.

We aim to delight people and exceed their expectations. Our team is absolutely what we're about and their belief in and support for Honeybuns, the product and company, is our main motivator. We believe that business should be done in a kind, thoughtful and sustainable way.
