Herman ze German's Superb Sausages come to Soho's Famous Old Compton Street

No stranger to a good sausage, Soho's famous Old Compton Street's sausage credentials are set to sky rocket when the UK's finest purveyors of German sausage, Herman ze German, opens the doors of its second shop tomorrow (2nd August 2013).

After the roaring success of the Villier Street store, one of London's first and only authentic wurst retailers, Herman ze German will bring on ze bratwurst throughout London's trendy Soho district when the new store opens at 33 Old Compton Street.

Offering the delicious selection of homemade Bratwursts, Currywursts and Meatballs that have made Herman ze German famous throughout the capital, the new store will be a destination for hungry punters craving their fix of meat which continues to be both delicious and healthy fast food. Each wurst is made to an authentic German recipe, using the freshest free-range meat sourced from family-run, quality butchers in Germany's Black Forest.

Quality and passion, combined with a cheeky sense of humour and a fierce spirit are at the heart of the brand, which was created by founders Florian and Azadeh. Their vision and attention to detail, alongside the best fast food available in London, have combined to create a unique dining experience that keeps bringing people back time and time again.

Upon moving to Brighton in 2005, Herman ze German creators Florian and Azadeh, both from the Black Forest, realised they would be hard-pushed to find their beloved bratwurst sausages amongst their English pork counterparts. After initially importing sausages to share with friends, hunger and demand set in and they soon set up home at their local pub with sell out success.

Quickly they realised the popularity of these delightful Bavarian snacks and set about buying two trailers to tour UK music festivals. After a whirlwind summer of 2008 and the unquestionable popularity of these little wursts, Herman ze German was born.Herman German A

Herman ze German strives for quality and authenticity in everything that comes out of the kitchen. The meat is without exception fresh and free-range from the Black Forest farm, the exact same farm they have been going to since they were children, and the quality of the produce is second-to-none.

In keeping with the tradition, the sausages come in three varieties, Bratwurst, Chilli Beef and Brockwurst - all grilled to perfection and served with toppings of choice including sauerkraut and onions.

As well as being gluten & lactose-free, Herman ze German's wursts have a meat content of 95% earning them the name of 'Tube Steaks'. However, it is their Currywurst that is the real draw and after three years of perfecting the sauce, many would say it is the best Currywurst to be tasted both inside and outside Germany.

Herman ze German's food is not only delicious, fast and great quality, it is also extremely healthy. No oil is kept on-site therefore the pommes frites (fries) are baked in a high-tech German machine which uses heat, steam and pressure to get them super crispy and tasty - another feat of German engineering! There are also carb-free options for those keeping an eye on their waistlines.Herman Ze German Logo

Since its inception in 2010, The Villiers Street shop next to the Strand has been a massive success, bringing German sausages to both locals and tourists on the West End. Not only does it have great food, Herman ze German combines a festival spirit and a quirky sense of humour to create a great atmosphere.

The arrival of a second shop on Old Compton Street is a welcome addition to the family and an absolute necessity.
