East India Company Collaborates with the National Gallery Company on Exclusive New Masterpiece Blends

The East India Company has collaborated with The National Gallery Company to launch a collection of six teas as part of the Gallery's Delicious Art food and drink range.

Taking inspiration from masterpieces displayed at the National Gallery, each tea has been specially crafted by The East India Company's tea master, Lalith Lenadora.

Continuing The East India Company's legacy of creating remarkable connections, Lalith carefully selected paintings that engaged him and resonated with his sensibilities. He spent many hours working closely with The National Gallery Company, studying and pondering over the paintings, to bring their essence to life in blends of fine teas, flowers and fruits. These bespoke blends beautifully capture Lalith's interpretation of each painting through the art of tea.

One of the most creative concoctions complements Claude Oscar-Monet's, The Water-Lily Pond. This delicate blend evokes the feeling of standing on a bridge in Giverny, with its delightful colour, exquisite scent and flavour.

Recently launched, the tea collection further enriches the National Gallery and The East India Company's existing selection of mini jams, mini mustards, and afternoon tea sets. These original tea blends are available to buy at The National Gallery shops, and The East India Company's flagship store located on Conduit Street, as well as on their respective websites.

We are delighted to be working with the East India Company. Through this collaboration we have brought together two iconic global brands, perfectly matching the heritage and quality of both organisations in terms of tea blends and artworks on display in our Gallery. Lalith has been able to capture the experience of viewing our masterpieces through his sensory selection of tea, flowers, fruits and spices.

We are very aware of the emotional connection between food and art and this latest partnership with the East India Company continues to develop our Delicious Art brand ranging from vintage Champagne to wines, jams and condiments, biscuits and confectionery and now these very special teas. All profits from the sale of these teas will support the National Gallery collection for future generations.
