Doves Farm Showcase New Products
The Doves Farm story began at their farm near Hungerford in 1978.
In addition to their great tasting bread flours, they make a variety of organic and gluten free products including biscuits, cookies, cereal bars, breakfast cereals, pasta and baking requisites.
They have two mills and two bakeries, enabling them to separate production of their organic and gluten free products. At the heart of their business however, they remain organic flour specialists.
Organic Wholegrain KAMUT® Khorasan flour
Doves Farm, the Organic and Gluten Free flour specialists, have unveiled a dramatic new look for their Organic Wholegrain KAMUT® Khorasan flour.
KAMUT® grain is a rare Khorasan wheat, said to be the grain of the ancient Pharoahs. The crop produces bold golden ears of grain with striking long black awns or 'whiskers' and the flour it produces is excellent for baking gourmet breads, pasta and biscuits.
The packaging redesign not only helps demonstrate the natural and traditional characteristic of the product in a serene and aesthetic way, but brings KAMUT® Khorasan flour in line with the rest of the Doves Farm heritage and speciality flour range. The bold midnight blue pack joins Einkorn, Wholegrain Spelt, White Spelt and Heritage flour in using a beautiful illustration-focused style.
Khorasan wheat, triticum turgidum, is a hard wheat type whose origins can be traced back to the Fertile Crescent in Egypt, where it is thought early agriculture first developed. With large golden grains, twice the size of many modern wheat varieties, it mills into a soft wholegrain flour with a pale, creamy colour.
We are delighted with the on-shelf impact the new packaging brings and hope it encourages further trial by all types of baker. Milled from organically grown wholegrains, it has been enjoyed as a delicious alternative to wholemeal flour for adventurous home bakers, but those who prefer things to be tried and trusted needn't miss out, my own favourite KAMUT® Khorasan bread, pasta and shortbread recipes are printed on each pack.

Organic Cocoa & Quinoa Sandwich and Chocolate Chip & Quinoa Biscuits
Doves Farm, the organic and Fairtrade specialists, are about to appeal to a brand new market with two luxurious additions to their biscuits range.
Doves Farm are famous for their ethical values and organically grown and Fairtrade sourced ingredients. Launching something so indulgent within these confines represents an excitingly bold extension to our existing biscuits range, which includes Wholemeal digestives, Fruity Oat and Ginger Oat biscuits. Although we expect the two new products to be greeted enthusiastically by our discerning customer base, at just 47kcal and 109kcal each (respectively), we also expect them to attract new customers looking for ethical, but indulgent chocolate options.
Organic Chocolate Chip & Quinoa Biscuits are delicate, lacy-edged and dunkable, but deliver a satisfyingly non-delicate chocolatey hit to be enjoyed at home or in the office.
Organic Cocoa & Quinoa Sandwich Biscuits will add a richness and luxury to any teatime treat with a creamy cocoa filling sandwiched by two sweet dunkable biscuits.
Popular superfood, Quinoa, is a heritage grain which contains all 9 essential amino acids, is a good source of fibre and is high in protein, however it is the combination of Fairtrade sugar, cocoa, quinoa and honey and lack of any additional colourings, artificial flavourings or preservatives that makes these biscuits very special.
Doves Farm Chocolate Chip & Quinoa and Cocoa & Quinoa biscuits were previewed at the Natural & Organic Products show in April and will be available in 225g packs at quality independent retailers from May 2013.
Fig & Quinoa
Fig & Quinoa has been announced as the latest cookie creation from Doves Farm, the gluten free, organic and Fairtrade specialists.
Joining an existing organic cookie range of three delicious flavours (including Cocoa Crunch, Lemon Zest and Stem Ginger), Doves Farm proves once again that gluten free doesn't have to be fun free!
Plump ripe figs and popular superfood, quinoa, create the distinctive notes in these delicious cookies. Made with organically grown and Fairtrade sourced ingredients, together with a Gluten Free flour blend comprising Rice, Potato and Maize, we expect these cookies to be enjoyed by the whole family, not just those with special dietary requirements.
One of the richest fibre plant sources, figs contain antioxidants and many essential vitamins and minerals, whilst Quinoa, a heritage grain which contains all 9 essential amino acids, is a good source of fibre and is high in protein.
As with the rest of the range, Fig & Quinoa cookies are made in a gluten free UK bakery which does not use wheat, nuts, milk or soya. Further, only the finest quality ethical ingredients have been used, including palm oil from sustainable organic farms in Columbia (which does not harm the habitat of orang-utans) and no additional colourings, artificial flavourings or preservatives.

Figgy Flapjacks
Doves Farm, the organic and Fairtrade specialists, have extended their premium range of organic snacking bars, with a new fruity flapjack containing pieces of fig.
One of the richest fibre plant sources, figs also contain antioxidants and many essential vitamins and minerals. I had been wanting to extend our popular flapjack range for some time and couldn’t think of anything nicer than luscious soft figgy pieces to complement the wholegrain oatiness of our bars perfectly.
Figgy flapjack joins an existing snack bars range of three cereal bars (comprising Banana, Mango & Brazil, Sultana, Apricot & Apple and Crispy Chocolate & Rice) and two flapjacks (which include plain Butter and Apple & Sultana).
As with the rest of the range, Figgy flapjack is made with the finest quality organically grown and Fairtrade sourced ingredients, including palm oil from sustainable organic farms in Columbia (which does not harm the habitat of orang-utans).
Further, with no additional colourings, artificial flavourings, hydrogenated fat or preservatives, the 40g bar is perfect for tucking into your backpack or handbag for a delicious and guilt-free on-the-go treat!
Doves Farm Organic Figgy flapjacks were previewed at the Natural & Organic Products show in April 2013 and will be available at quality independent retailers from May, either as a single 40g bar, or in a family box of five.
Gluten Free Lemon Zest Cookies
Doves Farm, the organic and gluten free specialists, have launched a twin-pack of their popular Gluten Free Lemon Zest Cookies, especially for the Food Service sector.
Already available as a retail-ready twin-pack, the food service travel-pack version does not include a bulky printed J-card, simply two delicious 20g cookies flow-wrapped in a plastic film… perfect for a gluten free mid-flight treat or for serving with ice-cream at the end of a gluten free meal!
When special dietary requests are infrequent or on-the-go, or you simply require a fresh single-serve portion, our handy travel pack offers customers a premium solution every time, with minimum waste packaging.
