The Delicious World of Black Moth Truffle Vodka

Made with the finest black Périgord truffles, five times distilled and three times filtered, Black Moth is the world's first and only truffle vodka in production.

The drink is only made in batches of 3,500 bottles to ensure the very highest quality of vodka that is noticeably soft on the palate and delicately flavoured.

Black Moth took two and a half years to develop and bring to market. It was very important to get the truffle to spirit ratio just right as it is so easy to overpower the spirit with truffle. I think that we have come up with the perfect balance of finest UK grain vodka and the delicious aroma and taste of the Winter Truffle, Tuber Melanosporum.
Black Moth is not cheap because there are no corners cut in the vodka production. There is about £10 of truffle per bottle and it is sold exclusively through Selfridges and the top off licenses in London and throughout the UK. We have also secured listings in most of the top bars and clubs in London, including The Connaught, Claridge's and Tramp Nightclub. We are also making good progress with top end restaurants.
Delicate balance Black Moth is doing well because it is so versatile and as a completely natural product it mixes in cocktails beautifully. Top barmen are excited by Black Moth as it gives them one of the most expensive culinary ingredients to play with.
The most important aspect when we developed Black Moth was to ensure it mixed with tonic. Tonic has been the real key to Black Moth's success as it reacts to tonic much like a Gin would. You still have the refreshing classic vodka and tonic but you also get the very distinctive flavour of the truffles cutting through the tonic.
Most vodka and tonic's give nothing back but with the truffles it really is a very special way to drink vodka. Black Moth is now getting to be known in the bars as 'Truffle and Tonic' or T & T for short!
After huge success since the launch in July 2010 we are now opening up the markets for Black Moth. We are looking for importers and distributors around the world to take on Black Moth and already have a number of very good orders.
