Congratulations to our winner Sara Cooper (London).

Closing date for entries 1st July 2013.

We have a set of five East India Company's luxury chocolate bars to give away to one lucky winner - worth £25.00

With flavours that include Nutmeg, Mukhwas, Sea Salt, Peppercorn and Cinnamon - there's something for everyone in this luxury set.

Nutmeg Milk Chocolate Bar 80g
The East India Company has combined nutmeg with a luxury milk chocolate bar to provide an experience of warm indulgence. Nutmeg is the seed of a tropical tree and has a distinctive aromatic, warm and rich flavour. Nutmeg delivers a unique, delicious, and readily appreciated spice note - blended with the finest milk chocolate, it is a gourmet combination.

Red Peppercorn Plain Chocolate Bar 80g
The combination of red pepper and luxurious dark chocolate is sublime. Red peppercorns are a relatively rare commodity and they are considerably more pungent and aromatic than green pepper. They combine the spicy, mature flavour of black pepper with the fresh notes of green pepper. In 1640, King Charles II was short of money and forced The East India Company to sell him its entire stock of pepper on two years credit which he sold at a loss to raise ready cash.

Mukhwas Plain Chocolate Bar 80g
Mukhwas (pronounced Mook-vus) is a colourful and delicious Indian after-meal snack or digestive made primarily of fennel seeds, aniseed, coconut and sesame. Mukhwas is sweet and aromatic and includes peppermint and other essential oils. The word is an amalgam of two Indian words, Mukh meaning mouth and Vas meaning smell. The Mukhwas mix is sprinkled onto our fine dark chocolate bar resulting in a truly unique and surprising taste sensation.

Sea Salt Milk Chocolate Bar 80g
The combination of sea salt and fine milk chocolate may sound unlikely, but it is a revelation. The marriage of these contrasting flavours has been acclaimed as one of the most delightful and successful in top quality modern chocolate evolution. Sea salt has the aroma and taste of the oceans, stimulating the taste buds and bringing out the caramel flavour in this luxury milk chocolate bar.

Fine Milk Chocolate with Cinnamon Bar 80g
The cinnamon leaf oil in this fine milk chocolate is produced by steam distillation of leaves. It has a distinctive warm and spicy aroma, and a flavour which is similar to but more sophisticated that that of cinnamon bark. The sweetness and quality of the milk chocolate combines perfectly with the spicy notes of the cinnamon. The Minutes of the Court of Directors of The East India Company record that in 1664 a gift of a flask of oil of cinnamon was presented to King Charles II.
