Today we are saying goodbye to our Advent 2013 and to celebrate we are giving one lucky reader the chance to win an Advent of Higgidy pies - that is 24 deliciously tasty individual pies made the Higgidy way, including brand new Venison, Cranberry, and Red Wine Pie.
Based in West Sussex, Higgidy lovingly make pies, quiches and slices that taste deliciously homemade and only use ingredients that you’d use in your kitchen at home. They are baked in small batches every day and finished by hands, not machines.
Higgidy has added a new addition to their range of 'Special Guest' pies - the Venison, Cranberry & Red Wine Pie. Available for a limited time only, the 'Special Guest' pies will bring a range of new and exciting flavours to the shelves throughout 2014.
Higgidy's Venison, Cranberry & Red Wine Pie contains chunks of tender venison slow-cooked with red wine, bacon, mushrooms and silver-skinned onions in a rich delicious gravy, finished with sweet cranberries and topped with buttery puff pastry.
Providing the perfect excuse for a cosy night in and, because Higgidy freshly bake their pies by hand every day and fill them with ingredients just like you would use in your kitchen at home, you could even pretend that you've made it yourself.
